The 2012 Music in the Zoo concert series celebrates 20 years this summer at the Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater. Single tickets go on-sale Monday, April 30 @ 9 a.m. at the Electric Fetus in Minneapolis and 10 a.m. at all Ticketmaster locations. TicketFly Reports Solid Growth In 2011

SAN FRANCISCO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Social networking/ticketing company Ticketfly announced solid growth in both sales and clients for the year of 2011.

According to the company’s financial report, Ticketfly saw ticket sales increase by 16%, well ahead of a sectorwide increase of 2.7% and revenue growth in excess of 100 percent for the second year running.

Vans Warped Tour Makes Initial 2012 Lineup Announcement

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The first round of bands have been announced for the 2012 return of the touring punk festival, The Vans Warped Tour.

The initial headliner announcement lists just five bands, including the Queens NY based Bayside; metalcore outfit Chelsea Grin; post hardcore metalers Memphis May Fire; hardcore band Sleeping with Sirens and alt-rockers The Silver Comet.

The next round of lineup announcements is set for Wednesday.

While the Warped Tour has not yet announced what venues they will be hitting, they have released their city itinerary for 2012.

Big Head Todd Goes ‘Clubbing’ On 2012 Tour

DENVER, CO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Big Head Todd and The Monsters will be kicking off 2012 with a slew of club appearances.

The band begins the winter club tour – their first in over three years – at Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse.

For a handful of appearances, the band will play a first set featuring their breakout album, Midnight Radio, performed live in its entirety. This style of show debuted last summer at the band’s sold-out show at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

CMS Announces Scars on 45 Promoter Date

Making music was the furthest thing from Scars on 45 co-founder Danny Bemrose’s mind until the professional soccer player broke his foot at age 21. Danny put down the
soccer ball and picked up for his father’s guitar. Those early years led to creation of Scars on 45, a quintet from Leeds, England, that combines the gentle melodic intensity of Snow Patrol or Keane with the added allure of co-ed vocals. AEG To Open Rock Club In Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — AEG is planning to open a brand new rock club on N. 5th St in in Minneapolis’ Warehouse District, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.

The club, to be named Brick, will be located in the space formerly occupied by Christian rock haven Club 3 Degrees. According to the Star-Tribune, the venue a tentative capacity of 2,100 and will offer live entertainment in multiple formats, including concerts, comedy shows, art exhibitions and corporate and private parties.

A spokesperson for AEG declined to comment, but some shows are already showing up in tour itineraries for the club, including a March 19th date for Janes Addiction. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
